This privacy policy sets out how Mendez Isaac Joudi, PLLC ("MIJ") uses and protects any information that you give MIJ when you use this website. MIJ is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. What we collect
There are two kinds of information on this website: what you choose to send us, and what is recorded automatically as you browse.
What you send us. If you fill in our contact form we ask for your name, a phone number, an email address, the kind of matter you are contacting us about, roughly when it happened, and a short description in your own words. You also tell us whether you would rather we spoke English or Spanish, and you confirm that we may contact you. If you use the chat assistant or the voice assistant instead, we keep what you typed or said.
What is recorded automatically. Like most websites, this one records the pages you visit, the site or search that sent you, the general area you are in as estimated from your internet address, and the kind of device and browser you are using. It also records how pages are used, meaning clicks and scrolling. The section on cookies below explains which tools do this and how to switch them off.
What we do with the information we gather
If you contacted us about a matter, we use what you sent to work out whether we can help you and to get back to you. Your message is stored so that whoever picks it up can see what you already told us and you do not have to repeat yourself, and the attorneys are alerted when it arrives so that it is not missed.
We use the automatically recorded information to understand how people find and use the site, and to make it easier to use. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We keep what you send us for as long as we need it to respond to you, and for as long as our professional obligations as attorneys require. If you would like to know what we hold about you, or you would like it deleted, write to us using the details on our contact page and we will tell you what we can do.
Who else handles this information
We use outside companies to run parts of this website. They handle information on our behalf, under contract, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Our website host, and the database where messages sent through this site are stored.
- An email service, which delivers the alert that tells our attorneys a new message has arrived.
- The company that provides the chat assistant, and the company that provides the voice assistant. What you type or say is processed by them in order to answer you.
- Google and Microsoft, for the website measurement described below.

Cookies and website analytics
This website uses two measurement tools. Both run on every page, and both set cookies in your browser when you arrive. We use them to understand how people find and use the site, so we can make it easier to use. We do not use them for advertising, and we do not sell the information they collect.
Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they are, and what kind of device they use. It also records when someone taps a phone number or an email address on the site, because for our firm that is usually the point at which somebody decides to get in touch. It sets two cookies, named _ga and _ga_V09VJ6NZLT.
Microsoft Clarity records how a page is used: where visitors click, how far they scroll, and where they appear to get stuck. It sets two cookies, named _clck and _clsk.
What the recording does not capture
Because people describe injuries, accidents and employment disputes on this site, we set Microsoft Clarity to its strictest privacy setting before the website launched. That setting is not the default one.
It means no text from this website is sent to Microsoft. Not the words on our pages, and not anything you type into a form. What Clarity receives is the shape of the page and where the interactions happened, with the text blanked out. This cannot be applied to information after the fact, which is why it was turned on first.
The chat and voice assistants
Both assistants are automated. They answer general questions about what we do, in English or Spanish, and they pass anyone with a real matter to us. They do not give legal advice, they do not tell you what a case might be worth, and using one does not make us your lawyers. Please do not send confidential details of a matter through them before we have agreed to represent you.
If you open the voice assistant and close it again without saying anything, nothing is stored about you and nobody at the firm is notified. We keep a count of how often the assistant is opened, and that count is not connected to you.
Turning it off
Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually under settings named Privacy or Site data. Blocking them will not stop this website from working. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site, not only this one.
These tools are operated by Google and by Microsoft, and each publishes its own notice explaining what it does with the information it receives. If you would like us to point you to those notices, write to us using the details on our contact page.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our website may contain links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Controlling your personal information
When you send us a message through this website, you confirm that we may contact you about your inquiry by phone, text, or email. We use what you send us to respond to you. We do not add you to a marketing list.
If you would like us to stop contacting you, or you would like to know what we hold about you, or you would like it deleted, tell us using our contact page or by calling the office, and say what you would like us to do.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run this website, described above, or where the law requires us to.
