Brittany Lopez

English · Español

An associate attorney at Mendez Isaac Joudi, PLLC, Brittany Lopez represents people in personal injury, wrongful death, and employment law cases across the borderland. A graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she trained in its Community Lawyering Clinic, she came to the law through criminal justice and never lost the instinct to stand with people against institutions.

About Brittany

Brittany concentrates her practice on personal injury, wrongful death, and violations of employment law, the cases where a family's stability or a worker's livelihood is on the line.

She earned her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque in 2016. While there, she participated in the Mexican American Law Students Association and trained in the school's Community Lawyering Clinic, doing real legal work for real clients before she ever took the bar. Before law school she earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, with a supplemental major in Law and Society, from New Mexico State University in 2012, graduating with honors as a Crimson Scholar. She is admitted to practice in Texas and New Mexico.

That path, criminal justice first and clinical community lawyering second, shows in how she practices: client-first, hands-on, and grounded in the communities MIJ Law serves on both sides of the Texas-New Mexico line. As part of a fully bilingual team with more than 50 years of combined experience behind every file, Brittany works with clients directly, in English or Spanish, from the first consultation through resolution.
